New partnership · October 2026
The rum of Curaçao and the island's recycling programme are joining forces. AnnaBay Club becomes a partner of ZZIIN Recycle and invests in a clean Kòrsou: glass becomes sand, the proceeds go to clean-ups.

How it started
In late August the AnnaBay Club team came to see Kunuku Man. AnnaBay had more than six hundred heavy glass bottles in stock, about a thousand kilos of glass. They could simply have sold them. But AnnaBay wanted more: to support the island their rum comes from.
That is why every guilder from that glass goes back to Curaçao, into projects that clean up the island and keep it clean. Glass is close to AnnaBay's own product. Giving it a second life here on the island, as sand for blasting, building and decoration, closes the circle.
That first conversation grew into a partnership. From now on AnnaBay Club and ZZIIN Recycle work together on clean-ups, glass recycling and awareness, visible to everyone on the island.

What the partnership involves
AnnaBay's bottles go to our warehouse on the Weg naar Westpunt, where they are crushed into sand. The glass never leaves the island.
Together we organise clean-up days in neighbourhoods, along roads and on beaches. Everyone can join in, recognisable by the AnnaBay × Kunuku Man shirts.
Everything that comes in through AnnaBay is weighed and recorded separately. Together we show what the partnership delivers for the island.
